2008: SB International, Inc. is recognized as the second largest customer worldwide of WSP China for the year ending December 31, 2006 and 2007. WSP China, successfully completed an IPO of its holding company WSP Holdings, Ltd and started trading on the New York Stock Exchange in December 2007.
On October 10, 2007, Satish Gupta, President of SB International, Inc. was the recipient of the 2007 GDAACC Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Annual Awards Banquet. For the past 15 years, the GDAACC has recognized the successes of many individuals and community leaders who have done phenomenal work locally as well as internationally. The City of Dallas Mayor, Tom Leppert, recognized the individual recipients.
On September 11, 2007, the Greater Dallas Chamber hosted the International Business Achievement Awards. SB International, Inc. was the proud Corporate Award Winner from the finalists selected in its category. The company was presented with a Certificate of Recognition for expanding the Greater Dallas area’s economy through success in international business and through community service. The event featured a vibrant “fireside chat” on the subject “DFW: Pioneering Global Success”. Lee Cullum, host of the series CEO, KERA radio, was the moderator of this discussion. The panelist speakers were Mr. Stanley Rabin, Chairman of the Board of Commercial Metals Compant, Mr. Gabriel Barbier-Mueller, Founder & CEO of Harwood International, and Mr. Satish Gupta, Founder & CEO of SB International, Inc. – all Final Award Recipients of the International Business Achievement Awards.
