SB International executives and UD alumni, Satish Gupta and Yasmin Gupta, were privileged to be the first honorees at the installation of the University of Dallas, College of Business Chapter of the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS).  The establishing of the BGS chapter is a perk bestowed to schools receiving accreditation from the prestigious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).  The University of Dallas was accredited by AACSB International in 2012.

The CEO Global Business Series, presented by the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth and sponsored in part by SB International, was pleased to host Rex Tillerson, Chairman & CEO of ExxonMobil.   Mr. Tillerson spoke decisively how innovation has spurred game-changing energy production in North America and is the leading force behind the revitalization of the United States’ steel, auto, and petrochemical manufacturing industries.  Furthermore, Mr. Tillerson gave keen insight as to the benefits of the Keystone pipeline and the potential worldwide welfares, both economic and humanitarian, of free energy trade, particularly for the U.S. during this new “era of abundance.”  Click HERE to read Mr. Tillerson’s speech online.

The World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth hosted a luncheon, sponsored in part by SB International, with Dr. Henry Kissinger, former U.S. Secretary of State and revered national and international affairs diplomat.  Among several topics, Dr. Kissinger analyzed the United States’ prominent position on the global stage regarding energy production and how that capacity could be leveraged to bring forth diplomacy.  His view zealously promoted energy independence and the opportunity it holds to further U.S. economic growth as well as worldwide political partnerships.   Click HERE to view the discussion online.

The U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program, in collaboration with the North Texas Council for International Visitors (NTCIV), sponsored 15 young leaders from countries around the world to travel the U.S. and acquire perspective on politics, media, private sector industry, and other global issues.  Satish Gupta, President and CEO of SB International, hosted the roundtable discussion focusing on topics such as energy policy, business, and corporate social responsibility.  The honored dignitaries represented the nations of Burma, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Guyana, Iceland, India, Latvia, Macedonia, Namibia, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, and Venezuela.

April 24, 2012:  Satish Gupta, President & CEO of SB International, Inc., participated in an economic roundtable discussion hosted by Warren Buffett in Omaha, Nebraska.  The participants’ discussion included U.S. natural gas production and utilization, energy, and a number of other topics related to current business and political issues.
